Life Is Better In 4K!

After much deliberation and tons and tons of research we decided to make the leap when shooting - and I mean leap - from HD to 4K for The Scuba Zone.

There is just something about the clarity, depth and definition of 4k that catches the eye and the imagination.

With that being said - we started to the seemingly never ending research for cameras.

We would find one we liked, yes that will be worth the investment only to discover negative things about it. Back to the drawing board. Wash - Spin - Repeat. We looked at so many cameras from all brands. Sony, Panasonic, Blackmagic Design and settled on JVC's.

With many tests and putting them through their paces, we are more than happy with the results these great cameras provide.

Making the jump from HD to 4K also had us rethinking several items in the studio. Why shoot in 4K if you can't deliver the end product in 4K?

So now we are upgrading the streaming hardware, the record decks and standards converters to all being 4K capable. Because of the changes, this is why we pushed back the launch of The Scuba Zone from summer to the fall.

It has been a daunting at times, but always fun and exciting bringing this adventure to life. We cannot wait to start sharing it with you.
